OK, that's enough of X/ Twitter for me. What started out as fun and useful has gone septic. I will try again at @gynaeresearcher.bsky.social and see how that goes.

GBSS was closely involved in @GBS3Trial It's a huge clinical trial to see if testing all pregnant women for #groupBStrep carriage is better than UK’s current risk-based approach. We look forward to 2025's results informing future UK GBS prevention policy. gbss.org.uk/gbs3/

It’s been an emotional week. After 14 years at UoB it’s time to move to global midwifery pastures new. Thank you to my Birmingham family who have supported me and helped me grow. Thank you for your energy. Hasta luego gang. “It will only take 5mins” is signing off. Peace out ✌🏻

PRE-EMPT randomised controlled trial - Results published bmj.com/content/385/bm… Combined pill, hormonal coil and contraceptive injection all reduce pain by ~40% post-op but more have repeat surgery/further meds with pill. Women with #endometriosis can choose which suits them.

Calling UK #midwives #obstetricians #neonatal doctors and nurses please can you help us plan a new clinical trial on cord clamping 🙏
Eleanor Mitchell@eleanor_mitch

@JonDorling18 & I would 💜to hear health professionals' views on a clinical trial comparing timing of cord clamping in very preterm infants who need resuscitation at birth. Can you spare a few mins to complete a short survey? forms.office.com/e/q73Xb9Ej9T 1/3
