@SquatchBiggs @pudicat11 @YeFutureSaint If God prepared them beforehand, all you need is faith.
Did you miss that?
English

@pudicat11 @YeFutureSaint Eph 2:10"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Created for what ? GOOD WORKS! You cannot separate faith and works. That is why Paul never uses"faith alone"You guys always forget to post 10
English

@PlumblineFaith Fidelity matters. Truth matters. Accountability matters. But claiming infallibility for your own camp is something else entirely.
English

@PlumblineFaith Logic?
There are no flawless church who can say "We alone are the true church" That’s just pride masquerading as humility.
The church is scattered across denominations.
We all see through a glass dimly.
Let the wheat and tares grow together until the harvest. Jesus said it.
English

@pudicat11 @lumen7jay @sola_chad As if we would obey some perfect book.
The book does what it's intended, it's suffice in that it gives the hearer Jesus, through the law and gospel.
Is He not enough?
There are no errors with Him.
English

@Haveaverse @lumen7jay @sola_chad Exactly.
I wouldn't want a book that was textually perfect.
Then faith would not be needed.

Detroit Lions CB Terrion Arnold has been charged with 4 counts of kidnapping and 4 counts of armed robbery after police identified him as the primary conspirator in an alleged revenge plot.
Investigators say Terrion Arnold mistakenly believed the victims stole from his Airbnb, helped orchestrate the attack, gave directions through a group chat, watched part of it via livestream, and later arrived as the victims were being held at gunpoint, beaten, robbed, and kidnapped.

English

@lumen7jay @pudicat11 @sola_chad The infinite bears the finite.
Even in errors, God's will always trumps.
Being inspired or God-breathed is not the same as the book literally falling from heaven from God himself.
English

@mustardseed63 @pudicat11 @RAPursley76 Christ is our sanctification.
We return to him again and again.
"It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, redemption." -Corinthians 1:30
English

@pudicat11 @RAPursley76 @Haveaverse I think sanctification in a nutshell is the process of loving Jesus and hating our sin.
English

@pudicat11 @RAPursley76 @mustardseed63 On the grounds of "doing good"
I don't need to equate being a decent human being with spiritual growth. What a trap.
Unbelievers outdo us all the time in love and generosity. I can do 1 million good deeds and 1 bad will rule me out. The standard is beyond us. Thank God for Jesus.
English

@pudicat11 @RAPursley76 @mustardseed63 Paul knew that in Romans 7.
"For I know that good itself does not dwell in me"
The burden of pretending is lifted.
An overlooked aspect of the good news.
We live by faith not by sight, neither outwardly or inward.
There is no need to measure, I am exposed and stripped naked.
English

@koburgee @pudicat11 Proverbs 28:9 MEV
[9] He who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.
English

How to honor God by eating what He declared unclean?
Bayer Holz@gonefishin1948
Eating shrimp or lobster on a Friday really isn't a sacrifice. It's a treat.
English

@mustardseed63 @pudicat11 @RAPursley76 I think that's the point Steve hounds on.
We will never have it together.
But eveyone change, some slower than others.
Even non-believers.
So, our hope ultimately isn't in how much we change, but in Christ's righteousness and God's mercy toward sinners, like you and me.
English

@pudicat11 @RAPursley76 I hope that I haven't given you the impression that I feel like I have b it all together. I don't. But relying on God's good grace and mercy, we do have hope and the ability to change through Him. I'm sorry if I was judgmental.
English

@RicoSauve111 @pudicat11 @liberalismlies "There is none righteous, no, not even one."
But if you think that proverbs verse mean there are people who are inherently righteous before God because they get back up after falling, you've lost the plot.
Non-believers do tons of righteous acts and transform from evildoing.
English

@RicoSauve111 @pudicat11 @liberalismlies That verse doesn't lower God's standard. The righteous man rises again because God upholds him.
English

@Haveaverse @pudicat11 @liberalismlies Oh really?
"For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity"
English

@liberalismlies @RicoSauve111 He just emptied the room again.
Who's doing those things?
No one.
