@TheKyleCopeland Agreed. I love the thinking behind it, but my friend was very confused. Wish it could be implemented after having finished the game.

@TheKyleCopeland I didn't even know this was a thing until my friend who is playing the first time was like "now I'm the waitress and I have to collect pie dishes?" Told him to go back and do those later, cause yeah, it's a jarring left turn.

@MachineHidden Watched it directly after seeing Scream for the first time, and you are 100 percent correct. A lot of those creative threads got teased out before he fully realized them in Scream.

@Hi_Def_Jeff Sweet! I probably did. I really love that movie, and it's cool to see it a sort of direct predecessor to Scream.

Today's movie viewings. What have you seen lately? Anything good? Seconds was a 5/5 for me, everything else was decent but flawed enough for me to give it a 2.5 or 3 out of 5.

@kelsochronicles Horizon gets a lot of unnecessary hate because both came out at the same time generationally amazing games released (BOTW and Elden Ring). For some reason, people use that as "evidence" that Horizon is bad, or subpar. It's a weird mass gamer transference of some kind.

How it honestly feels being treated as Horizon fan anytime we get excited about something. Sheesh Oh well! Guess I’ll just keep making fan art✨

In the world of Alan Wake, "real" and "not real" is a semipermeable membrane. When a man becomes a machine, we have lost an important part of our humanity. When a machine becomes "real" we have gained a monster in the gaping hole where our humanity used to be.

With the ATD, the FBC manifested their own pages of Alan's writing, manufacturing a soul into a machine. An act of creation with dire consequences, tampering with a volatile substance for impure goals.

One of the horrifying themes from The Lake House DLC, is the FBC turning a man into a machine, and a machine into a man.

@TheKyleCopeland I keep thinking about creativity as an atomic energy. Through their hubris,The Marmonts thought they could control it, force it, use it for their own gain and it literally blew up on their faces. They had a Chernobyl level fuck up on their hands it it wasn't for Estevez.

@PayneReactor The FBC making a giant Alan Wake LLM at Cauldron Lake is one of the most insanely dangerous decisions they've made. The commentary on the danger of corrupted/forced art, AI, and the harm it can all cause is brilliant. Creation is powerful, and that can be turned against us.

What I love about Alan Wake 2's The Lake House DLC is its message: Art can’t be forced, copied, or automated. True creativity has soul and authenticity - AI can't replicate that.
