@ChrisCushman2 Roddenberry was right decades ago when he said an academy show wouldn't work. He refused involvement when Paramount asked him. When he saw they were serious, he stepped in and took it over and transformed it into ST:TNG. The man knew what his fans wanted. Kurtzman never has.
