@SGVNSports Many scandals have occurred at muir. They fielded graduated player on muir football team in 1980’s. They torpedoed a top muir basketball team with ineligible players a year they actually beat PHS in over 12 years. Soccer rules are very vague. Took CIF away from Marshall soccer

Breaking: Devasting news for the Muir girls soccer team. They will have to forfeit 17 games due to an ineligible player that performed in a showcase with her club team in early December. Muir was having its best season in history. It had beaten Crescenta Valley and Arcadia for the first time ever, and had won its first Pacific League title ever. After Muir’s 1-0 win over Arcadia last Thursday, Arcadia officials notified Muir’s athletic department the next day that they believed they had an ineligible player. Muir investigated and self reported the violation to the CIF-SS. Muir will not make the playoffs. Instead of a record of 17-2-5, Muir finishes 4-18-2 after the forfeits are calculated. Story to follow ….
