"According to initial information, the fire broke out at around 9.20 am in the former warehouse of the Zwölfmalgreien fruit co-operative. According to eyewitness reports, the entire roof truss caught fire within a few minutes. There are apparently no injuries. Alpitronic employees were not in the building. The hall was out of operation due to renovation work. This fuels speculation that the fire could have been caused by the work. Apparently, the fire started in the insulation. However, there are still no certainties. Alpitronic boss Philipp Senoner is visibly shaken. In an initial reaction, however, he says: "It looks worse than it is."

I won't pretend to know more than @elonmusk about Supercharging, but equally, after previously representing ~40K Tesla owners in the UK over the last few years to our Government, Tesla and other parties, I feel without the Tesla Supercharger network Tesla wouldn't have sold anywhere near as many cars to date, the supercharger team are arguably the biggest salespeople in the world for Tesla (even if they don't directly sell cars)! #ChickenOrEggScenario So it has shocked me (and many within the UK/Globally it seems) that Tesla has decided to reduce this supercharger team down (supposedly dramatically in places), I'm yet to hear the fate of the UK/EU teams. The feelings that I'm seeing at the minute is that most existing owners believe that the network should continue to expand at rapid rates not just for their own selfish wants/needs but because it's clearly urgently needed in some key places, it's the right thing to do for the mission but primarily because we're only just getting started with EV sales! With many Tesla supercharger sites opening to the public whilst providing the best level of service/uptime etc for everyone and some key sites urgently needing expansion it's time to capitalise on this desire and not slow down this incredible part of the business / mission in my opinion. My only other thought is that Tesla's V4 superchargers need some urgent work on them (they're clearly prone to damage more so than V2/V3 and the clips suck) so this is why we're seeing this action/change? 🤷‍♂️ Whilst Tesla's goal of pushing legacy Auto to make the switch to EVs is arguably now complete, surely it's too soon to slow down this momentum? Elon, could we kindly ask you to please provide owners more information on this decision?

@MarkBulley1 Fair play Mark. Get yourself a decent tariff with Octopus or Ovo and you’ll see real savings. I get 6 hours with Octopus at 7.5p. Even the dishwasher and washing machine is timed off-peak so I’m saving there too. It’s a learning process 👍🏻👍🏻

@HyperionStephen Only just looked at this. Sometimes you hold your hands up. FYI. I don’t spread anything. Just was telling it as it was for me. Clearly didn’t have what I needed tariff wise. Apologies. My electric charger bloke will be getting a talking too 😂

@MarkBulley1 @mattletiss7 Yeah right? Yeah. Right. 35.68kWh (about 172 miles of range) added last night at 7.5p per kW on Octopus Intelligent tariff. Do the maths. £2.67. Did you have a smart meter and a smart tariff? I guess not 🙃

Funny how this head of a gas & boiler alliance tries to muddy the waters around heat pumps with this question that conveniently ignores the fact that cold Nordic countries have the highest heat pump uptake in Europe. Tell us how well hydrogen heated your home last winter, Mike.
Mike Foster@mikefosterEUA

. @NatInfraCom It would be useful if the members of the commission could tell us what COP their heat pumps achieved last winter. That way we can help inform the public.

.@AllisonPearson has shared her thoughts on the #ElectricVehicle transition in today's @Telegraph Been a while since I've seen an article with quite so many inaccuracies and unevidenced claims So, here's a not-so-little thread to debunk some of the things that have been said

@zap_map has released new statistics for the number of electric vehicle charge point installations in 2023. Unsurprisingly, despite UK Gov lacking in their ambition and strategy to expedite our journey to net zero, the EV sector leads the way regardless. insights.hyperionsearch.co.uk/post/102ipkl/d…
