The second they sell old Battle Pass items, the gatekeeping dies instantly. Look at Renegade Raider once “never coming back,” then it did, and instead of outrage people celebrated and grinded for it. Turns out people don’t hate sharing, they just hate being locked out.

@SmasherforFort OG battle pass owners will complain regardless. They'd argue that an alt version of an exclusive character should just be made instead. OG pass holders aren't even using the skins they dont want anyone else to have and one day the game will shut down an they will be gone anyway.

Keep Fortnite original skins exclusive. BUT IP collabs should be able to return for new players to purchase. If Fortnite doesn’t own the IP, they shouldn’t lock it and keep it exclusive. Always said that when it comes to battle pass exclusivity vs FOMO and new players it’s that a compromise can be made I think. A good portion of people who are invested in returning battle pass items are only really concerned with exclusive IP collabs being locked behind a battle pass. But a very large percentage of people are in favor of exclusivity and there’s appeal to that. If this was to be put in place, the OG battle pass owners couldn’t complain since it’s not Fortnite IP and it does exist out of Fortnite and you’ll keep the fans of said IP happy as well. I think a lot of people would welcome that change to the battle pass.

Fortnite OG is the worst Fortnite game mode ever made. It shouldn't exist. The only good thing about it is the skins. I'll die on this hill. It's objectively bad.
