How do #lamin mutations cause #laminopathies and cardiac disease? Beautiful work by the @IkegamiLab lab shows high levels of nuclear envelope rupture in lamin A/C-deleted cardiomyocytes, leading to DNA damage, altered cell-ECM communication, and cardiomyopathy.
