@PaulcowleyMBE @fmspear @LloydSewing My wife had an IPP sentence and the harsh reality is that many people with this sentence don't get the chance of rehabilitation due to the extreme conditions that they are put on and not enough probation officers trained in this field on release if they are lucky enough

@fmspear @LloydSewing Get rid of these IPP sentences altogether, and I agree resentence if needed. You can’t hold people in this state just because you think they might be a danger to society. There is a risk in everything we do. If they have served their sentence then they have served it.

The resentencing part of the recommendations is the only thing that is going to put this wrong right at the end of the day & I just feel like they’re tinkering around the edges. Need to resentence the only thing that’s going to fix it. @LloydSewing #IPP theguardian.com/law/2023/aug/2…
