@OOrsak @donmclean14 If using tile water capture, send a sample away to see what you'll be using. Tile guys I've talked to say use the water there's no problem, irrigation guys have said get it tested. Costs $100 or so and at least you know if it is suitable before starting the project

@donmclean14 Mine will be tied into a tile system with a lift station, so it should be regularly refilled. Can I get away with smaller then?

If I wanted to create an irrigation pond, how big do I go for a quarter? 1ac 12ft deep gets me ~1ac/in Is that enough?

@OOrsak I'm new to irrigation, but just finished one reservoir, and am working on the second this summer. Probably go bigger than what you actually want to use, evaporation and seepage can be a pretty big loss. And it really doesn't take much more land to 2x or 3x holding capacity

@MYPrecisionAg Weather forecasting. The kind that is correct a few days out and doesn't just add rain a week out to keep our hopes up.

If you could add one piece of technology to your farm that you didn’t currently have on your operation what would it be?

@DTimchishen @Lean1Mclean I've got a 50' 8x8' tower if you need. At very least I'll look up what the concrete requirement was for it

@Lean1Mclean Hey Eric. Is the leg on its own pad? How big is it? I’m going to be putting up a 40’ leg and an 8x8 tower. Wondering how big I shd make the pad or maybe just put it on the same pad as the bins

Crane day. Take down spouts and high stuff to repair and modify for next season. Not ideal with rain

Hey @KraftHeinzCan Penny wanted to know the answer to this a while ago, but we had the wrong address I think. She reminded me tonight. So, how many tomatoes in ketchup bottle?

Anyone have any ideas why a new Case 4585 air cart will no longer turn the meters? Worked okay for 300 acres, now can't for the life of us get it to meter seed/fert/anything. Can prime from cart, no response from the cab. @RMEHQ @Case_IH @landon707 #mbab

@landon707 @RMEHQ @Case_IH I stand corrected. We did not fiddle with the rates, and we really should have. Somehow they got blanked in the middle of a run. Feeling pretty silly right now. So far it is working. Though our alternator coupler came off again. Time to whip out the hose clamps.

@aneufel1 @RMEHQ @Case_IH @landon707 AFS700 hiccupped when this started. Never actually checked the application rates once it started getting goofy, AFS must've blanked our rates when it hiccupped, and then wouldn't run the meters. Unsure if embarrassment or relief is the dominant emotion right now. Good suggestion.

@TrevorFriesen4 @RMEHQ @Case_IH @landon707 Ha! Funny story... We had all sorts of issues earlier. Turns out the alternator wasn't connected to the hydraulic drive motor. Hopefully this will also be a simple fix that I just couldn't think of

@InKfarms @RMEHQ @Case_IH @landon707 You wouldn't think so... but a lot of weird things with software on those pro 700. The other biggest thing is to make sure the battery connections are all 100% and your alternator is charging the system properly.

@InKfarms @RMEHQ @Case_IH @landon707 What happens if you try starting a new task? I know there was a version on those displays that would fill up your task really fast and wouldn't automatically start a new one when it got full.

@TrevorFriesen4 @RMEHQ @Case_IH @landon707 Unsure on version right now. I would assume the latest, but, you know what assumptions do. We have two 12v from tractor alarms, 520251-4 and 520251-4. However it doesn't seem to matter whether they are active, or inactive.
