Preview for Bimmer Invasion FL, an update to our G87 M2 portfolio build. We debuted this car last year, and now it’s back with a new addition. After the release of the Karbonius pre-preg carbon rear closeout, we knew it had to be part of the build. The carbon quality coming out of their factory in Spain is exceptional, with a perfectly centered weave that really sets it apart. The challenge was that the closeout was never designed to work with a roll bar. Rather than create new tooling, we worked with one of the top fabricators in our area to make it happen. Steven carefully trimmed the closeout to integrate with our Alpha-N roll bar, while maintaining a finish that looks completely factory. Beyond the trimming, the real complexity was reinstalling everything so it looked seamless, like it came that way from Karbonius. Now available for the A90/A91 Supra, the ACX DMLS Carbon Strut Brace. We first became aware of the AptusWorks brace when it was featured on Mario at Goldenwrench’s Zupra SEMA build. With dozens of strut braces on the market, the technology behind this one immediately stood out. Its use of Direct Metal Laser Sintered (DMLS) aluminum mounting points brings a level of engineering not typically seen in this category. This cutting-edge additive manufacturing process allows for complex, organic shapes that simply can’t be achieved through traditional machining. Engineered using advanced generative modeling, the brace delivers a significant increase in chassis rigidity while weighing just 1.74 lbs. Rare parts have always been part of IND’s DNA. Years ago we chased down the very first set of BBS FI wheels to arrive in North America for our Atlantis Blue E92 M3 build. Getting them here wasn’t easy. A massive volcanic eruption had grounded flights across Europe and it took nearly 12 hours of scrambling to secure a plane that could deliver them to the US. Fast forward to today and we’re still chasing the rarest parts in the world. Last week the first set of BBS MAG-R forged magnesium wheels in North America arrived at IND. Developed by BBS Motorsport, the MAG-R is a fully forged magnesium wheel derived from the same magnesium blank used for the Porsche GT3 RS. Each wheel weighs just 8kg, making it over 30% lighter than the factory 20" BMW wheel while dramatically improving unsprung weight and chassis response. Production is limited to just 50 sets worldwide. Sometimes projects don’t go exactly as planned. The new G90 and G99 M5 feature a unique factory carbon fiber weave that incorporates a subtle silver thread. While many manufacturers rushed their carbon consoles to market, the teams at IND and INDIV were committed to getting the details right. With the help of Alex at Alpha-N we were able to source the exact factory-matching carbon fiber from Italy. By combining this authentic Italian carbon weave with a genuine BMW console core, the finished piece matches the OEM interior perfectly. BMW’s newest compact SAV models are becoming some of the most interesting platforms in the lineup, yet the U11 X1 M35i and U10 X2 M35i are still largely overlooked when it comes to performance upgrades. Eventuri set out to change that by developing a fully engineered carbon intake system for the B48-powered X1 and X2, using the same design philosophy and patented Venturi housing found in their flagship M-car systems. The result is a sealed carbon intake that improves airflow, maintains low intake temperatures, and adds a much more aggressive turbo induction sound. Even the wives enjoy modding. We recently installed the Eventuri U11 X1 cold air intake, engineered as a fully sealed, high-volume system for the latest B48A20T2 platform. The restrictive factory airbox is replaced with Eventuri’s patented carbon fiber Venturi housing and smooth-flow duct, creating a direct and thermally stable airflow path to the turbocharger.
