A surrogate mother was FORCED to abort after the baby’s parents discovered their child was missing 2 fingers. Their child was treated like a product. His life was destroyed because he didn’t turn out exactly the way his parents wanted. The surrogate mother was made to undergo a dangerous late-term abortion against her will. All for the sake of convenience and desire. This is discrimination. This is ableism. This is eugenics. This is wrong.

The first time I ever visited a Chinese orphanage, it was a room of maybe 100 children, 3 to 6 months old, three per crib, head to toe - toe to head - head to toe. They were layered with clothes- not cold. They were changed regularly. And fed on a regular schedule, usually with bottles propped up by a towel until they could hold it themselves. Their nails were clipped about once a week and put back in their cribs. I was amazed because even though they were awake, none of the babies were crying. I soon realized it was not because they were on a disciplined schedule, though they were. It was because they had learned crying didn't matter. Nobody would come. The children had no one to attach to. So very often they struggled to attach even when they were later placed with an adoring, committed family. This video is undoubtedly AI. But not for long. And when we do start to introduce artificial wombs and robot nannies, we must remember that children need more than shelter and food and clothing. They need touch, constantly. They need eye contact. They need maternal movement and smell and voice. They need ongoing, calibrated responsiveness. A disembodied childhood is an inhumane childhood.

NEW: FedEx driver who is accused of abducting and strangling a seven-year-old girl, puts his face in his hand as a photo is displayed of him driving her to her death. 7-year-old Athena Strand was seen standing behind Tanner Horner in his FedEx truck. Athena was allegedly snatched by Horner when he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas. Horner initially claimed that he accidentally hit the girl with the truck before "panicking" and pulling her into the vehicle. He said he then strangled her in the vehicle and dumped the body 7 miles from the home. The photo, however, shows that Athena was alert in the truck and did not appear to have been struck by the truck. Wise County District Attorney James Stainton says the jury will see footage on the day of the killing, depicting the moment Athena was strangled to death. "Somebody covered up the camera because they don't want you to see. Guess what? Audio is still running, and you're going to hear it. You're going to hear what a 250-pound man can do to a 67-pound child," he said. "And when I say it's horrible, I mean it. I've been doing this for 25 years, and I promise you, buckle up." Horner qualifies for the death penalty.
