Another year around the sun and this year was definitely one of the best yet! Between being involved in a movie that became an Oscar winning global phenomenon, getting engaged to my fiancée, booking my biggest and most hated (haha!) anime character to date, finally getting to do to cons and meeting so many wonderful people, and so much more. Thank you all for such a wonderful year 😌

@justcrys__ Can we as SWANA people also recognize that Gem Affection and similar cards of Rafayels are in fact NOT our culture. They are taken directly from Dunhuang Feitan style myths which are more based on Buddhist celestial iconography than anything else. It’s not and never been SWANA.

Idk but if youre from that culture, you shouldn't even be writing fics that have that culture, especially if it's to sexualize it. Like doesn't matter if you aren't doing it with bad intentions. YOU writing it just makes it bad, just delete the fic

Did not take long before seeing an identical service pop-up elsewhere I’m just going to be honest for a sec here. This industry, specifically, without fail, consistently plagiarizes the success and creativity of its members and passes it as its own. Quite like drinking from the pool it pees in The nuance in this specific case is “3rd party” vs “nepotism”. You realize it’s a conflict of interest for the person holding the keys to your opportunities, to offer a feature to legitimize yourself to them. It’s turning a key into another shackle I’ve seen it with classes/coaching outlines, I’ve seen it with pop-up studios, I’ve seen it with branding, general services (suddenly everyone is a _____ in addition with acting), with no applied experience There really can’t be so few of us who see it or care. It always follows someone who pops off organically but is repackaged and louder by someone else with their own circle buying in to convince others it’s extra-legit. It never mentions who “inspired” it, just presents it as new For a while I was quiet about my wins and moves because of this, and this is exactly why. I actually welcome competition but this by definition is the opposite If you’ve supported anything I do, thank you specifically. You’re the reason I get to create instead of profit on someone else’s idea. I’m privileged and thankful for it. Don’t ask me who or where, just if you see it, take a minute and know

@Ninjx07 @sakinayoongi I completely understand having to balance corporate vs artistic interests as someone who has worked in several forms of entertainment. Part of the BTS formula has been not having to cater to western interests and success being intentionally excluded and snubbed
