Right now, Congress needs to act. Families who buy health coverage on ACA exchanges are threatened by large increases in health insurance premiums – including 1 in 13 Jefferson County residents.

Washington state does not need or want the president to militarize our streets. Violent crime in Seattle and across Washington state is dropping. Our recent budget included $100 million for police hiring. Seattle is hiring record numbers of police officers. Donald Trump wants to be able to say that we cannot handle our own public safety in Washington state. He clearly can’t say that now. Let’s work together as a state to speak out peacefully today and not give Donald Trump what he wants.
