🇦🇲🇷🇺🇹🇷 President Putin on the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide: "Today we bow our heads before the memory of the hundreds of thousands of victims of the Armenian Genocide, one of the most terrible tragedies of the twentieth century. The brutal massacre of defenseless, innocent people, who were killed, wounded, and driven out of their native cities and villages... I would like to note that our country's position on this issue has always remained unchanged. As early as May 1915, it was reflected in the joint Declaration of Russia, Great Britain, and France, condemning the violence against the Armenian people as a crime against humanity and civilization, and later at a new stage in history, in the Statement of the State Duma dated April 14, 1995. The persecutions and repressions of those years became an unhealed wound for many generations of Armenians, but the tragedy endured united the people, who demonstrated firm devotion to traditions, wisdom, and courage. I am convinced that the sons and daughters of Armenia will continue to preserve their national identity, their millennia old culture, language, freedom, and spiritual values. I wish the friendly Armenian people well being, prosperity, and all the very best."

Le 24 avril est, en Arménie, une journée qui unit la mémoire, la douleur et l'histoire de tout le peuple. Ce jour-là, on rend hommage aux victimes des événements tragiques qui ont profondément marqué le destin du peuple arménien. Ce n'est pas simplement une date dans le calendrier. C'est un rappel de l'importance de la mémoire historique, du respect du passé et de la responsabilité devant les générations futures. La mémoire n'est pas seulement synonyme de deuil, mais aussi de force. La force de se souvenir, de parler et d'empêcher que de telles tragédies ne se reproduisent.
