@chris_hummer Agree. @JoeyMcGuireTTU is one of the most well-respected coaches in all of TX. A lot of people will be critical of the NIL impact, however the talent still needs to fit scheme and culture. Plenty of highly talented CFB teams missing bowl games.

Joey McGuire is a pretty dang good example the right HC hire isn’t always the obvious one.
Had only been in college for a few years. Had never been a college coordinator.
But he’s beloved in Texas and won a LOT as a HS head coach.
Outside the box worked well for Tech.
