Meanwhile, in the Bagwai/Shanono State Assembly by-election formerly an APC stronghold the NNPP secured a landslide victory. The party garnered over 16,000 votes, while the APC managed to secure just 5,000 votes, marking a significant shift in political momentum.

This announcement was made at the state level rather than at the LGA Collation Center, which has traditionally been the appropriate and accepted venue for such declarations.

The APC’s victory came in a rerun election held across 10 polling units in the Ghari/Tsanyawa State Assembly Constituency. Notably, the APC candidate already held a lead of over 3,000 votes ahead of the NNPP candidate going into the rerun.
