Everybody sees three random names.
I see three different reasons they can leave the yard.
Gavin Sheets — veteran power bat. Doesn't need 4 hits to beat you. One mistake over the plate and it's gone.
Connor Norby — exactly the type of aggressive young hitter that gets overlooked because people chase bigger names. Those are the guys that end up breaking slates.
Marcelo Mayer — young bat, growing confidence, still being priced like the market isn't fully caught up yet.
The public spends all day looking for who is MOST likely to homer.
I'm looking for who is CAPABLE of homering and being priced like they aren't.
That's a huge difference.
The sportsbooks already know Olson can homer.
The sportsbooks already know Judge can homer.
The money has always been in finding the guys the public scrolls past.
Will these hit?
Maybe
Maybe not
But if you're asking why they're on the ticket, it's because all three have real power, real paths to a home run, and odds that were good enough to survive the cut.
That's the game big daddy plays ..
