On #UbaloziTime, Amb. Abdi Aden Korio, Kenya’s Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman- @KenEmbMuscat, paid a courtesy call to the Principal Secretary for Diaspora Affairs, Ms. @roselinenjogu, where discussions focused on the welfare and engagement of Kenyans living in Oman. The meeting explored ways to strengthen consular support, enhance safe labour mobility frameworks and ways of addressing emerging challenges affecting Kenyans living and working in Oman. Both parties emphasized the need for more deliberate and structured diaspora engagement, focusing on unlocking diaspora investment, facilitating skills transfer and strengthening the diaspora’s role in driving Kenya’s national development agenda. PS Njogu reaffirmed the State Department’s commitment to working closely with Kenya’s missions abroad to ensure efficient, responsive and citizen-centered service delivery, while emphasizing the need for deeper collaboration to better address the evolving needs of Kenyans in the diaspora.
