With the help of our wonderful volunteers we have now published four paperback parish histories since 2016. We are currently researching the history of Loughborough. Did you know we are a registered charity and reliant on donations from public to continue this work?

🇬🇧 Our local VE Day tribute in Ibstock has heartfelt memories and reflections from 1945. Read stories from residents who celebrated the war's end, remembered those they lost, and looked ahead with hope. A powerful glimpse into local history.

The roof of St Mary's Catholic Church in Husbands Bosworth has recently been repaired. The church was built in 1873 as a private chapel and is today served by the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham. 1/2 🧵

Almost ready to come out of hibernation... been so busy with art exams at school I've had no time but it's Easter! Woohoo! We are ready to start offering prints of churches but aren't sure which ones people will want? Would any of you be interested and if so, which churches?

One of Leicestershire’s oldest churches is located at Foston, a tiny hamlet between Countesthorpe and Kilby. Much of the church’s fabric, including the Norman arcade, dates back to the C10th when Foston was a larger medieval settlement. Photo credit: Leicestershire Churches

The rolling hills of east Leicestershire are dotted with beautiful little churches. A fine example is the church of St Nicholas at Shangton, which is not only a quaint building in its own right, but is in a beautiful bucolic setting surrounded by fields and a bubbling stream!
