You need to know what’s going on right now.
Senate Republicans just introduced a bill that would give more than $60 billion to ICE and Customs & Border Protection — agencies that are already sitting on over $100 billion in unspent funds and have spent months defying court orders and detaining American citizens with no accountability whatsoever.
They are also trying to bypass our efforts in Congress to impose accountability on the agencies.
Let me be clear: this is a blank check for an out-of-control agency operating with ZERO accountability.
If this makes it to the House, I am a hard NO.

Director Patel, you still haven’t taken the alcohol abuse test we provided. And now you're abusing FBI resources to track down the people who expressed concern about your drinking. When your own staff are calling you “J. Edgar Boozer,” it may be time to admit you have a problem.
Also, in case you and AG Blanche need a reminder — retaliating against whistleblowers is ILLEGAL.

Lauryn Carter was in sixth grade when she lost her mother to cancer. By eighth grade, she set her sights on Georgia Tech — even though the schools in Americus, Georgia, didn’t offer much engineering curriculum.
On Friday — with the aid of a Tech Promise scholarship — she will graduate debt-free as a first-generation college student with a degree in industrial systems and engineering. At the end of the ceremony, Lauryn will turn a special tassel that features a picture of her and her mother, whom she says has been with her every step of the way.
After graduation, she’s headed to Texas to work for @pepsi. #WeCanDoThat #GT26 💪🎓💛🐝

🚨 BREAKING: We’re suing Gov. Jeff Landry––again! Gov. Landry’s unlawful executive order to stop Louisiana’s primary elections (after they’ve already begun) creates confusion and undermines public trust. We’re making it clear: they don’t have that authority. bit.ly/4utUgQz

The Supreme Court’s decision in Louisiana v. Callais is a warning we cannot ignore. This ruling will shape redistricting battles across the South at the federal, state, and local levels.
When we do not stand up, Black and Brown voters do not just lose a voice, we lose ground in housing, education, healthcare, economic opportunity, and civil rights.
Let’s be clear. This fight over redistricting has never been about protecting your vote. It has always been about protecting their power.
Getting involved in this fight matters because when you do not, you are surrendering.
