Stephen Marsh of Big Pond Kayaks has worked his magic once more. My beloved “Rwendo”, who saw me around Scotland on my year long trip has been completely refurbished. She looks incredible and awaits new artwork. Kerry’s brand new kayak is equally beautiful.

Point of Ayre the Isle of Man. It’s wonderful to be here, though this time I didn’t paddle across from Scotland, as I did in 2022 to drop off one kayak and collect the kayak you see on the van.

An amphibian chorus, hidden in a marshy hollow on Uldale Fell. Wonderful.

@perfectrose2011 Hi Wendy, lovely to hear from you. Britain is a small country and our cell phone coverage is pretty good. This means I have connectivity much of the time. This means I can call for help if ever I need it. In the sea I have an emergency beacon. Best wishes.

@LifeAfloat You are fortunate indeed, Nick. Questions: Do you have a way to contact anyone if you needed assistance for any reason? Also, I'm astonished how you have wifi in such remote areas. I thought there it would be impossible. If you have a phone with you, how do you charge it?

It's not lost on me, I am fortunate to enjoy peace and tranquility in my life. Camping this weekend up by Bowscale Tarn, Cumbria.
