“All Downhill”
This is one of the first OSTs that plays during REDASH, one that is very soft and easy on the ears, if not a tad bit sad.
Now, this is normally the part where I would psychoanalyze every single aspect of this song, but honestly, the title really gives away this song’s intentions.
You know the saying, “I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them.” This song encompasses that feeling. This was the Goddess Squad at their assumed peak, every member around and kicking, dominating any mission thrown their way, all while forming their own kind of family dynamic. This is the assumed good old days for Snow White, the ones she looks back on with a smile, all before it went, you guessed it, downhill.
This is why the song, while happy, has a deep melancholy feel to it. It’s a look back at a time before everything was so, so utterly complicated, something I think most of us can relate heavily to.
“Um… any chance you could release me from this headlock before you go?”
“You call this a headlock? Please, it’s just a friendly hug!”
