Stinnett Hollow Road will be closed 4/14/26 from 8AM until between Cairo Hollow and Jernigan Hollow. Union Hill Road will be closed on 4/16/26 from 8AM until completion between Shelton Road. perimetermap.com/limestone-al Residents will be allowed access.

There is a low to medium chance of strong to severe storms across the TN Valley today. The main threats include gusty to damaging winds, hail, heavy rain and a tornado. Stay weather aware and have multiple ways to receive warnings!

3/5/26 - We are performing some testing of individual sirens around the county. These tests require us to perform a short growl of the sirens. These are just tests.

There have been several calls into public safety agencies about the smoke in the county and city. Per Alabama Forestry they've been conducting controlled burns in Bankhead Forest area.

A contractor working for Limestone County Water and Sewer will close Cambridge Lane Friday (02/27) just north of the intersection of Huntsville Brownsferry Road. Closure is expected to last from 8AM to 5PM. Local Traffic will be allowed access via Newby Road.

Kinder Morgan/Southern Natural Gas will be flaring natural gas in the area of Old Highway 20 and County Line Road on 3/2, 3/3, and 3/5. The public may see visible flames and hear loud noises. See it on our map at perimetermap.com/limestone-al/d…
