Welcome to the year 2026! Local 3, IBEW Sign Division members working for union signatory contractor AMA Electric Sign Co. installed and operated the new Constellation Ball and 2-0-2-6 Numerals for the world-famous New Year's Eve Ball Drop Celebration in Times Square.

Local Union No. 3, IBEW implores the Trump administration to immediately rescind its order so that we can get back to work.

The impacts of its decision hurt International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers members, other Building Trades workers, and the residents and businesses of New York who are counting on clean energy to be added to the grid to help power our neighborhoods.

Local Union No. 3, IBEW is once again disappointed with the Trump administration’s attack on offshore wind and the unionized Building Trades workforce that has been successfully constructing projects up and down the East Coast.

Learning Together: Train the Trainer at @LocalUnion3IBEW America needs about 81,000 new electricians every year. The real gap? Electricians who can safely plan and maintain energy storage and microgrid systems. That workforce barely exists. Data centers, resiliency, batteries: the projects are stacking up. The workers need to be ready. That's why we built ESAMTAC. Last week, our EVP and Co-Founder, Andy Mackey, led a Train the Trainer course at @LocalUnion3IBEW, working alongside representatives from @AETCO, @CPSTechnology, @HealyElectric, @CNYEnergyTraining, @IBEWLocal237, and more. This course gave us the chance to share knowledge, learn from one another, and explore new training methods, including hands-on VR technology. This year marks the 125th anniversary for IBEW Local Union No. 3 & it was an honor to celebrate their tremendous legacy. For generations, this union has protected workers, advanced safety standards, and created pathways to success through education and training. Their commitment to the well-being of their members has shaped the electrical industry and has lit a spark in the lives of so many families across New York including District 27's very own Electchester. Presenting a legislative resolution, the highest level of recognition by New York State, acknowledges their significant, century-long contributions.
