@m_takewaka If you want to eat pure BBQ meat without any weird sauces or additions to it other than salt and pepper you have to get Texas BBQ. The other barbecue styles are good but very specific taste-wise.

My American friends, I'm facing a major problem here. When I say I want to eat American BBQ, some Americans say, "come to Texas," others say, "come to South Carolina," and still others say, "come to Missouri." I'm confused. Are you guys going to start a BBQ civil war?

@syukujo3111 It's called smoking it's where you cook it by exposing it to low temperature smoke for a long period of time to break down the fats and the toughness of the meat into being tender and flavorful. That's the Texas way but it's not exclusive to Texas.
