@MMEX4Android Hi, I can open a database from my Google Drive folder, but the app copies it to the app folder (/storage/emulated/0/MoneyManagerEx/) and all changes are saved to this folder, so the sync doesn't work. And I can't change the database ath in app settings.

The built-in synchronization has been replaced with Storage Access Framework, which uses your storage provider's app to handle the service. Just use Open Database / Other to use it.

@MoneyManagerEx @snarchio Maybe those users should talk to Dropbox?

The F-Droid version has a different signature key to the Play Store version. Hence you will need to install the F-Droid version explicitly to receive getting updates.

Beta (pre-release) versions will be published in the same line as the production version but will not be offered as updates automatically. You will still be able to update to pre-release version manually by looking at the Versions in F-Droid client (or on the page, hopefully).

@JinDaiYue Not sure. The email account linked to our Play Store is no longer accessible so can't even say what the problem is. Will revisit once I have some time, but focusing on F-Droid first. Not even that works completely ATM.

The Play Store rejected the app update to v2019.02.19.995.

It's official. CloudRail is discontinuing the support for cloud connectors. Old MMEx versions will stop syncing when APIs change.

@Rintxy There are also additional benefits to F-Droid, like automatic deployment, rollback to any previous version, support for Open Source, etc.

@MMEX4Android I see. I think they're adding too many restrictions too quickly just to keep up with Apple-like policies. Companies can invest some money on that but the rest of us...

Unpublishing from Play Store. Please use GitHub Releases page until F-Droid distribution is active for both Beta and Release versions.

@JinDaiYue At the moment it is unpublished due to apparent policy violations after a simple bug fix. We are currently available on F-Droid for both production and beta releases.

While the F-Droid builds are being set-up, you should know about the changes for the Beta distribution. There will be only one app Id, allowing you to install pre-releases (and roll back to any published version). This means that the Play Store version will be discontinued.

@Rintxy Anyways, the real problem is that this happens more and more often and we have to keep updating the app just to follow the changes they make. This puts too much strain on fairly limited resources, hence we are moving to F-Droid.

@MMEX4Android I think I read somewhere you had a problem with the Store. Just out of curiosity, what was the problem?

@Rintxy A fairly simple bugfix update was not accepted due to "policy violations". Further information have been sent to an account that we cannot access anymore.
