This arc gives me such season finale vibes 🥹 It'd be so good to end it around chapter 70 with Maonoka going out 😭 It's hard to think of alternatives bc the storylines tend to bleed into each other tbh. Maybe all the way to Yurako & Nanoka's meeting? But isn't that too far in?

7/10. Tonally, a complete departure from before, although one that works surprisingly well. The dark fantasy approach fits Hirano's directorial style to a tee, and the core of the original story, Umi, Hikaru and Fuu's friendship, remains as strong as ever.
