A total privilege to be involved in marshalling (on a bike) last week's big ride for Palestine. 45 miles of cycling with 150 plus people of all ages and ethnicities calling for change. One of many great highlights of the summer hols so far. ....

Once again a fantastic well done to Wolverhampton Schools: 2% above national for combined and my fav stat:27% of disadvantaged children (26% =boys) got GDS in reading setting them up for that 7-9 target in English GCSE & DFE research higher future earnings.

This also shows in particular the importance of achieving GDS.....Getting children to GDS in KS2 English & maths isn’t just about top scores – it could mean £60,000+ extra in their lifetime earnings. Small steps to Greater Depth = big life impact.
