It does not help our state or our country when our government is shut down, which is why I just voted to fund our government.
This bill increases pay for our troops, includes the Accelerating Kids’ Access to Care Act, which I co-sponsored, that helps young Alaskan with special needs get better care. It also includes PBM reform, which will be crucial in lowering drug prices for Alaskans. This bill was full of wins for Alaska!

Parents like Derek and Amy Nesbit shouldn’t have to fight government red tape in order for their son to receive treatment for leukemia. Last night, the House passed H.R.4758, which would ensure that children aren’t denied Medicaid funding just because of where they live.

@samstein Elon stopped *6* childhood cancer bills from passing in that government funding bill last year. Only one snuck in at the last second. If we’re throwing around “disgraceful”

Bernie did indeed stop a unanimous request on this childhood cancer bill last week.
Has to be noted that Rand Paul stopped a UC request on the exact same bill a year ago.
And Elon Musk stopped the bill from passing as part of the government funding bill days before that.

If you’re grimacing with every step until the endorphins kick in, it’s not a “recovery” run. You just wanted an excuse to do some more miles. To each his own, but I’m happy to chill the first few days after a hard race.
