Looking forward to speaking at the IST European Section Symposium today as an invited speaker. @ISToxinology I’ll be discussing how in vitro assays of human targets help us understand the activity of mamba neurotoxins, offering new insights beyond traditional animal models.

Our special issue is receiving its first papers! I am excited to see it come to life. From natural to AI-designed peptides, I hope this collection will inspire new ways to tackle antimicrobial resistance and other promising applications.

We showed that a cocktail of 8 nanobodies protected mice against 17/18 African elapid snake venoms - preventing death and tissue damage.🐍
