Members of the sampling team had travelled from Ohio and some from New Zealand to be part of sampling. It’s a privilege to be on Isla Cedros. Marauding Microbiome hunters @sl_addison , @madegreene , @megrua , and @Steve_ScienceNZ here and with a great support team!

The Pines were, perhaps, doing better than us by the time we made it!

We are privileged to be sampling Pine tree microbiomes on the Islands Cedros and Guadalupe. These islands, off the coast of Mexico, are the ancient home to unique populations of Pinus radiata….. and, hopefully, microbiome associations

I just finished reading this review on Sunday evening and I have to say it's one of the nicest piece I've read for a long time. Very excited to go to work on Monday checking some of the ideas.

And that’s a wrap for sampling #treemicrobiomes in Australia. All states sampled - huge effort and kudos to the team. Time for ‘a breather’ before the northern hemisphere sampling kicks off.

But… it turned out they weren’t Pinus radiata. No sample collected. Only thing left to do, go to the beach. Western Australia is incredible
