You know what happens to you if you submit $7.8 million in fake invoices to the government? You go to prison. These guys got a repayment plan and a DFL lawmaker vouching for them in committee. Then a million dollar check. Direct appropriation. No competitive bidding. Quietly slipped into a budget bill. The DFL wanted the payments to continue. They made sure of it. The lawmaker who sponsored the grant says she had no idea about the fraud. She's in her FOURTH TERM. This has been a national story. Nick Shirley covered it. KARE11 just dropped the investigation this week. She had no idea. FOURTH TERM. These people do not care about your money.
