Let me ask you a question, wouldn't every media house have a screaming fight if Mallika weren't a part of the hijra community? Her name would be on every social media post demanding justice, the police would have done something, and the system wouldn't be so prejudiced!

Mallika's life was stolen from her, just like millions of others whose only "crime" is that they don't fit into this rigid society's bygone idea of gender, sexuality, or identity! The worst part is that Mallika could have been saved had the police acted on time. #transrights 🏳️‍⚧️

The trans community has been stripped of its rights, but we still stand tall as we rise once again to fight for what is rightfully ours but we cannot risk the smallest mistake as it harms the progression of the entire community 🙌🏻🏳️‍⚧️

Our voices will not be silenced, our identity will not be erased, and our fight will continue until every member of the LGBTQIA feels safe 🙌🏻
