Attacks on the International Criminal Court @icc_cpi undermine justice for victims of serious human rights violations globally. @DignityDK joins call on the EU to defend the ICC amidst attacks on the ICC’s mission. 👉 hrw.org/news/2025/04/0…

Serious concerns about detentions in #Turkiye of opposition leaders including @ekrem_imamoglu and more than 100 others. Human Rights Foundation Turkiye @insanhaklari appeals for international solidarity. Terrorism and corruption accusations not very credible
UN Human Rights@UNHumanRights

#Türkiye: We are very concerned by the detention of at least 92 people over the past week, including Istanbul’s democratically-elected mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. All those detained for the legitimate exercise of their rights must be released immediately & unconditionally.

1/ An interesting analysis by ChatGPT on the psychological aspects of the meeting between Zelensky and Trump-Vance is circulating online. It reveals a masterclass in gaslighting, manipulation, and coercion from Trump and his entourage. Let’s break it down. 1/n

Many people arrive at prisons or jails in poor health, and the conditions in carceral facilities — particularly solitary confinement, overcrowding, and extreme temperatures — can worsen health (see table). The negative mental and physical health effects of solitary confinement are well documented. A large body of evidence shows how extreme isolation increases self-harm and suicidal ideation, loneliness, and cardiovascular disease; exacerbates chronic conditions; and increases the risk of death after release. Reducing solitary confinement can have positive effects on the health of both residents and staff. Therefore, it is critical that health care professionals assess and document the psychological harm experienced by patients in isolation and advocate against the use of solitary confinement and for the return of patients to a less isolating environment as quickly as possible. 😢 60-year-old woman has been sentenced to 4 years behind bars for helping political prisoners in #Belarus A year ago, the KGB arrested Natallia Ladutska during a mass raid targeting those who supported political prisoners. Today, a court found her "guilty" of "promoting extremist activities." Yet another proof that in Belarus, solidarity is treated as a crime. #FreeThemAll

An important step toward bringing the Belarus regime to justice! The International Accountability Platform for Belarus (IAPB) has submitted crucial evidence to @IntlCrimCourt, supporting its preliminary examination into whether it has jurisdiction to prosecute crimes against humanity committed by the regime. The world must not turn a blind eye to the crimes of Lukashenka’s regime. Justice won't be denied. We will not stop until those responsible are held accountable.

#FreeViasna and all other political prisoners in #Belarus
#FreeViasna@FreeViasna

1,300 days ago, prominent human rights defenders from @viasna96 were arrested in #Belarus. #NobelPeacePrize laureate Ales Bialiatski, @fidh_en vice-president Valiantsin Stefanovic, and lawyer Uladz Labkovich dedicated their lives to helping those facing the regime's cruelty. They stood up for justice in our country, and for this, were brutally punished by being sentenced to 10, 9 and 7 years in prison respectively. Currently, our colleagues are enduring severe conditions, and their health is worsening with each passing day. They should be free, with their families and loved ones. Freedom for human rights defenders and all political prisoners! #FreeAles #FreeViasna #FreeThemAll #HRD
