3rd graders @Hamilton_LN had the opportunity to go see “A Pirate-y Peter Pan” at the Fitton Center today! Afterwards, they worked hard at making connections between the play, book, and movie. We are so proud of their hard work in this @ELeducation module! @Hamilton_Instr

Year 1 Resident Educators @Hamilton_LN completed their 2nd task-Formative & Summative Assessments today, acing a matching activity. Research by John Hattie says formative assessment can double student learning speed by enabling real-time instructional adjustments. @Hamilton_Instr

This morning’s math vertical conversations were “relay” fantastic! @MrsDShadrach led an insightful session on math standards across grade levels. It included a lively team challenge, a deep dive into OST released questions, and powerful conversations! #OneLinden @Hamilton_Instr

These fourth graders are amazing! Using RACES (restate, answer, cite,explain, summarize) when we are preparing for class discussions! Today we did a close read in ROAR block on Daughters of the American Revolution&how they helped the war in ways other than fighting! @Hamilton_LN

Ss in @TeachThemMissM class get to choose how they demonstrate their knowledge and understanding on their mid mod assessment. Ss can choose to create a poster, Slides, or Collage. They utilize a rubric to reference their work and include all requirements! @Hamilton_LN 🐆💙

Students taking ownership of their assessments: choosing to show the differences between Patriots and Loyalists in the form of a sort, a collage, or a poster. Then we will self assess and share with classmates to demonstrate our understanding! @Hamilton_LN

The paleontologists in @SHardewig’s class put their learning to the test with a hands-on fossil dig, uncovering their own discoveries after studying the EL fossil module. It was a fun and successful extension of their hard work! @Hamilton_LN @Hamilton_Instr @Hamilton_EleIns
