@MsAmyzing
Travel is my life. You can also expect the occasional rant about Brexit and/or the Govt, and perhaps a lot of rambling. I clearly watch a lot of TV too

@Vince_Tanczos @BWallArthur Dude, that *is* the so-called tourist tax. A select few British cities (Edinburgh, Liverpool) have already implemented it, this is just rolling it out across.
English

@BWallArthur I live just outside Liverpool & work in Liverpool. I often stay over after business meetings and entertaining customers, I have already had to start paying a tax to stay in a hotel. Are they also going to charge me a tourist tax? How will they assess my reason for visiting?

@vitt2tsnoc I have a driving licence, but I can’t remember where I put it 😂 for that reason, I’m actually thinking a digital ID might be more useful for me
English

@emmacruises @CruiseNorwegian I would never choose a bath - the thought of other people’s butts being on there is enough to give me the ick, and there’s not enough bleach in the world for me 😂 I much prefer to have a balcony on an ocean cruise so I can enjoy reading with sea views away from everyone else

ad • Today I got every cruisers DREAM phone call to my room. ‘Hello, we have a suite available if you’d like to move cabin’. 📞👀 (This is not a normal cruise thing, I’m on a press trip which is why you’ll see ‘ad’ on all my content). I said yes please! 🏃🏼♀️🤯
I did have to think about it though, for a couple of reasons… I loved the standard balcony cabin I’d spent the first 4 days in! 🤭❤️
- The suite doesn’t have a balcony, just massive floor to ceiling windows, which is totally fine for me but I know would be a dealbreaker to some. 👀🛌
- The location is right at the front and up high, if we do hit rough seas we’ll feel them more here. Even in calm seas the movement is noticeably more. 🌊
When I found out this cabin had a bath though… that sealed the deal. 100%! I just had a 1pm bath and it was INCREDDDDIBLEE!!! 🤣😍
I’d pick a bath over a balcony every time. 🤭🛁
Plus a butler who can bring me cookies… I’d be a fool to turn that down. It’s all a great story and good research for my content, right?! 🤣🍪
(I’m here to make Norwegian a video about the excursions for their channel, then my regular story style and cabin review(s) for mine. Thanks SO much for all your comments/love on my past Norwegian collaborations. It’s because of you I get to experience this and I can’t thank you enough!!) 💖✨
Why am I on the floor? Well I’m not sure what to do with SO MUCH space. Officially my cabin sleeps 6, but I’m sure 10 of you could fit on the floor if you don’t mind cuddling up. Who’s volunteering?! 🤭😂
Let me know if you’d have done the same as me! 🛁⚓️

@MrLiverSalts @emmacruises Yet at the same time, there’s offer after offer like it’s a race to the bloody bottom 🙄🙄
English

@emmacruises We've only been cruising for 7 years but we've noticed - plus hearing it from seasoned cruise veterans - that the lines are gradually eroding the service, either by simply not doing it any more (eg., nightly turndown), it's reduced or is now a chargeable extra

@shannonminter5 Baby Baby Ralph! Goodness, I remember first coming across your account in those days, it’s been incredible to see how he’s progressed and grown (and the others too) - what a turnaround! ❤️

@hypersane24 @PennyRed @ultra_crepidity It’s like you’re really close to almost getting the point being made.
You think that a society hell-bent on demonising a tiny vulnerable minority is likely to hold men accountable with harsher penalties? Absolute LOL at you
English

It's like asking "How can that flimsy Stop sign stop a car? How??"
Uh by creating a means of accountability for when the boundary is violated, which then makes the Stop (or "Women") sign a viable deterrent to transgressing said boundary.
People roll through Stop signs and men sneak into women's spaces and both get away with it ...until they don't. And the harsher the penalty, the fewer will try.
English

@TinyWriterLaura But also, that takes a whole working day? Women can have it all - a career, and weird, hollow carrots with flowers in 😂

@vickyGowthorpe @Heatherjaney1 @BBCNews Plus it’s not just the cost of ingredients to consider - you also need a decent amount of freezer/fridge space, which may not always be the case for every household
