@MyWorldView8 @TonyWard867811 Utter nonsense. Brexit was a golden opportunity to put the sclerotic EU behind us. But thanks to the coward Cameron, the useless May and children like you, we blew it.
English

The IMF just ranked Britain the worst performing major economy on the planet.
Not a war torn nation.
Not a failed state.
Britain.
Twenty five years of open borders, net zero ideology, DEI over defence and spending money we do not have.
They did this to us.
Not Putin. Not Trump. Not global headwinds.
The people we elected.
Every single one of them.
English

@Suzanne11202 @JayfromBlighty @TonyWard867811 I can very much see past Brexit. But I can very much SEE Brexit. Which you seemingly cannot
But I follow the numbers. You follow your reluctance to admit the evidence for the impact it has had.
I've given plenty of information that supports my case. You've given opinion.
Bye
English

@MyWorldView8 @JayfromBlighty @TonyWard867811 It’s shallow because you can’t see past Brexit. You are so fixated on it bring Brexit you ignore any other factors
English

@TheoBasileus @TonyWard867811 🤣
Yes it was Brexit
But it wasn't
It was because we didn't have other solutions (like magically finding another HUGE trade bloc that happens to be on our doorstep)
That we would get the same benefit of a club once we leave the club
The risks weren't thought through first
English

@MyWorldView8 @TonyWard867811 Brexit only revealed the weakness, once it could no longer be hidden in the lukewarm soup of the Union.
Typical victim, no-agency response. This "you" is you. The will of the people. Too little, too late, unfortunately.
Once a mighty empire, you now blame Brexit.
Pathetic.
English

@Spacedogonmoon @fred953909571 @TonyWard867811 Why?
1) Conservative austerity program (they were warned countless times this would stay ate growth)
2) Brexit. Where you prove point.
English

@MyWorldView8 @fred953909571 @TonyWard867811 Your economy stagnated in 2007. At 50k per capita, today it’s 53k. Dropping to as low as 39k in 2009. That’s twenty years of failure.
The US by comparison has nearly doubled, 48k to 84k. Dropping only to 47k in 2009. That’s twenty years of a success.

English

@Spacedogonmoon @TonyWard867811 Perhaps be more concerned with your own country for now, eh?
English

@MyWorldView8 @TonyWard867811 Insane cope. Yall have not been growing since the 90s
English

@Suzanne11202 @TonyWard867811 Yes he did. And he did a lot of things that secured the UK economy as well.
But the fact remains, the main and overriding impact on today's economy is a) the result misguided Tory austerity and b) Brexit.
Factually irrefutable.

English

@MyWorldView8 @TonyWard867811 Blair did a lot of things which have had disastrous consequences for the UK. Nothing to do with Brexit
English

@Suzanne11202 @JayfromBlighty @TonyWard867811 It's not shallow thinking. It's factual thinking.
Just because you don't like the answer is a you problem.
Here. Here is some evidence to support what you call "shallow thinking".

English

@orriblesaint1 @Brian0book @TonyWard867811 The red lines show the UK economy under Blair.
The impact the GLOBAL financial crisis was not a Blair issue - and we know this because WE SAW THE MAJORITY OF THE WORLD'S ECONOMY take similar hits.
It shows your heavy partisanship or lack of knowledge to not express that

English

@MyWorldView8 @Brian0book @TonyWard867811 In 97 when Blair took over the economy was just booming when they left, well…
English

@NapierHolland @TonyWard867811 That's because of your bias or cognitive inability to engage in proper discussion.
There are HUNDREDS of independent assessments demonstrating the clear and unequivocal impact Brexit has had on the UK economy
You should try reading some. Warning: it may ruffle your cognitive bias
English

@MyWorldView8 @TonyWard867811 I always imagine these silly, obsessive europhile replies expressed in a small, squeaky voice, quivering with rage and indignation.
While — obviously — clutching at pearls.
English

@bill_bedfo49504 @TonyWard867811 Now tell me. What did the EU ever tell YOU you had to do? When did it ever impose on you a dictat of what you can eat, sleep or live? What mechanism did they have that impacted YOU directly?
English

@MyWorldView8 @TonyWard867811 So how did brexit do it ?. I voted brexit to stop them fishing our waters & the cost of paying the eu to tell my country how we should live, eat, sleep. Its nothing short of an invasion for which we fought 2 world wars & died for. Now its a scam & blackmail.
English

@bill_bedfo49504 @TonyWard867811 So, the negative impact Brexit has had on other industries is a factor of HUNDREDS of times HIGHER on other of industries than fishing ever would have been.
You chose fishing because it was a false flag. A red herring (pardon the pun). A complete non entity in the grand scheme
English

@bill_bedfo49504 @TonyWard867811 As for fishing, it constituted less than 0.03% of the GDP.
In 1970 it was 0.1%. Still tiny.
In comparison, Brexit saw huge economic impact on many other industry far greater than fishing would EVER have gained. Here is an example:

English

@bill_bedfo49504 @TonyWard867811 How? There are hundreds of published papers and reports on the "how".
nber.org/papers/w34459
English

@Suzanne11202 @TonyWard867811 As for manufacturing, this is the UK manufacturing output from early 1990s. The red line indicates the Blair years for reference.

English

@MyWorldView8 @TonyWard867811 Brexit was 2016. The decline, over inflated bureaucracy, to much spending, social welfare increasing, chasing net zero, shutting manufacturing… these are long term problems.
English

@sisifomaximo @CoulsonFlooring @TonyWard867811 @woke_snowflake Wait till you hear where Scarlett Jenkinson and Eddie Ratcliffe were from.
Or Mathew Hardman in 2001.
Or the many other murders every year across the UK.
Don't see you referring to them. Why?
Colour of their skin.
Says a lot.
Bye
English

@CoulsonFlooring @TonyWard867811 @woke_snowflake @MyWorldView8 More like Rwanda. Ask the parents whose precious girls were slaughtered by Southport's finest, Axel Rudakubana.
English

@NoozliAdmin @TonyWard867811 Yep
#assumptions" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">obr.uk/forecasts-in-d…

@Brian0book @TonyWard867811 The economy did quite well under Blair. Public services thrived. Businesses were booming. We held real influence across the globe.
But sure. If it makes you sleep better at night, keep believing.
Goodbye
English

@MyWorldView8 @TonyWard867811 It started by the installation of Tony Blair in 1997
English

@MyWorldView8 @TonyWard867811 Nigga, you're supposed to leave the EU to take in zero migrants, NOT throw open the borders and import millions of third worlders
English
