Over the weekend, NHGS Choral visited the Old Chapel Music Studios in Leeds to record some of their favourite pieces. The choir had great fun working with professional studio engineer David Whitaker and we are excited to hear the finished products soon! Mr Marston & Mrs Pegg

Congrats to Finlay, Clayton & Rory – Upper School Debating Champions 2026! 🏆 In a gripping final they argued for choosing a blissful simulation over a harsh free reality, edging past Ben, Cole & Logan’s powerful defence of truth, action and resisting authoritarian control. 👏

NHGS Sixth Form Charity Committee are supporting Comic Relief's Red Nose Day 2026. Red noses and pin badges will be available for £2 each in the Lower Foyer 12:30pm to 1:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.

Y8 boys' football team were back in action this week in the Calderdale Cup. They travelled to Todmorden and completed an impressive 5–1 victory. A fast start put us 3-0 up with goals from Robin, Daiyan & Rory F. 2nd-half strikes from Monty & Robin again sealed the win! POM: Finn

NHGS wishes all our students, staff and community members well in these special times of reflection and upcoming celebrations.

This will be a joint time of spiritual growth and self-sacrifice for many members of our school and wider community. The spring months of March and April will also see celebrations of Holi, Hola Mahallah, Vaisakhi and Passover.

The spring calendar is marked as a special time for many different reasons. As well as the February half-term break, next week will mark the start of both the Christian period of Lent leading to Easter, and the month of Ramadan, leading to Eid ul Fitr.

The Spring Music Concert will take place on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, at 7pm
