Just got a call saying I got accepted into medical school, which (kinda?) sucks because I recently decided I didn't want to go anymore. Fuck. Now it's time to make the biggest decision of my life. Go into a career I will hate, or miss the once in a lifetime opportunity?

@SaluteThePig Two slices of bread with any sort of savoury fillings in between them are a sandwich. An "open face sandwich" would be acceptable too, but since it has it's own name we can conclude that if there is a need to specificity it's not a true sandwich. Take that PB&J.

But ten years, huh? Worth a reflection. The response my vids got, the enjoyment I got from making them, the fluency with which they wrote themselves, everything I learned from the processes- I benefit from all of that every day now. I'm grateful for the experience of the 10 yrs.

It turns out that yesterday was the NSC 10th birthday. As I recall, I'd made the video and had to think of a channel name off the top of my head. I'd heard (I think) Sam Harris use the expression in terms of "Why do we even need a word for an atheist?" Anyway, what a ride. 🎂🙌

@SaluteThePig I dare say that bacon is actually more processed than sardines. Canning utilizes mainly heat and salt while bacon adds nitrites, sugar, spices, smoke... Mmmm, bacon... "Processed" is really a catch all term.
