This random lady is a prospective corps member posted to Lagos. This is the Lagos camp. While other PCMs are standing in lines taking instructions, she is snapping pictures and making videos in her husband's car. Do you know why? Naija is the HQ of anyhowness for rich people. She looked at this picture, saw her mates under the sun and decided to post it so people will see she is not standing in line with others. Is it class? What message was she trying to pass? When I served, many people couldn't join us in camp for several reasons. They registered and quietly left. They did not take pictures with other corps members behind them to display that "I better pass my neighbour" show. Many people will see this and refuse to call it out because they wish to be in that position. Many people don't dislike it when protocols are broken. They want to be the one for whom the protocol is broken. It is unfair that young people leave their homes and travel thousands of miles across the country to answer the clarion call of serving this nation. Yet random people like this lady in this picture will make them appear less. It is not life that we are living in Nigeria.
