I’ve decided to create a thread of my tax-deferred 457 account. This represents about 20% of my total portfolio. I’m currently almost 49, this accout I can’t sell options, but will be converted to a rollover IRA someday when I retire. The focus of this account is strictly income.

@MarketMatrixs This is how I learned to invest. I received 10k of $T shares from my grandfather at age 10, I’m 48 now. Sold shares long ago, but it lit a fire in me, I was hooked ever since.

At what age do you think you should have $50,000 invested? Realistically..

I’ve been contributing $250/month since birth. Some money gifts from grandparents. I primarily dca $SMH, $QQQ, $SPH. Some individual stocks where I write options. My goal is to get them to $250,000 by 18. But realistically I will likely gift money throughout their lives. I believe money now is more useful now vs when they inherit from me.

If you're 30+ with <$1M then listen up. The only way to make up for lost time is to start going all in. Index funds will not make up the gap. This is serious.

@OptionGrowth This is great. I'm doing the same with $BLOX $CHPY and $GIAX. Those three income products are funding some of the more growth orientation products like QQQI and SPYI.

One of my Lazy Trader Investment Accounts (Not a trading account) received $7,298.67 in distributions for May. On $551,716 initial outlays for the ETFs, that is a 1.32% return for the month not counting increase in values. Total margin used was just $243,455 for a 3.00% ROM. None of my investments are high return NAV busting holdings. Almost all of the distributions are not taxed and are return of capital for now. I am reinvesting all distributions as well as making consistent deposits to this account. I know many people told me 12-15% a year in distributions was impossible and I was crazy. I plan to stay crazy I guess.
