Break in the storm (1917) by Algernon Talmage #BornOnThisDay 1871 from the Fine Art Collection @PotteriesMuseum Talmage ran an art school in St Ives before moving to Chelsea. During WW1 he was an official war artist for Canada on the western front in France @PMAGCollections

We returned to @NT_SuttonHoo at the start of this week to return loaned Staffordshire Hoard objects to Stoke-on-Trent. It sounds like Swords of Warriors has been very successful and has brought the Staffordshire Hoard to thousands of people. #museums #staffordshire
