In the alpine terrain of the Rotmoosvalley (2200masl), Eline learnt the potential of close-range remote sensing techniques and 3D/4D visualisations in alpine research.

We had two great weeks learning about ecological processes happening in islands. Fascinating to see the many similarities between island and mountain systems. Thank you Universidade dos Açores and @CE3CResearch for organising and @UiB and @mohnfoundation for financing #skyisland

Yesterday we had a great time with 3/4 of the @PPFalpine team on board of the @statsraad Lehmkuhl. Thank you @mohnfoundation & @BergenUib for organizing this event and showing us beautiful Bergen from the seaside!

After being on the road for two amazing weeks with @PPFalpine, beautiful #Bergen within the 7 mountains welcomed me back. How fortunate I feel to live and work in such a great place - stunning landscapes, safe, clean, while enjoying my role at @BioUiB and the years ahead
