The bank's asset management arm oversees around $16 billion in assets, and this consideration highlights growing institutional interest in BTC from traditional finance in the Middle East.The news stems directly from comments by Maurice Gravier, Group Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Emirates NBD, in a recent CNBC Squawk Box interview. Key points from his remarks include: Viewing Bitcoin as "digital gold" a store of value rather than just an alternative currency.
