Hey convicted felon, you managed to take one accurate historical fact and turn it into a completely false constitutional argument. Yes, the 14th Amendment was passed after the Civil War and was meant to guarantee citizenship to formerly enslaved people. That part is true. But what you either don’t understand or are deliberately ignoring is that it was written broadly on purpose, so no one could ever restrict citizenship again based on politics, race, or convenience. It doesn’t apply to just one group, it applies to anyone born in the United States and subject to its jurisdiction. That’s the whole point. You don’t get to wave your hand and call it “long ago legislation” like it’s optional. It’s the Constitution. The highest law in the country. You don’t override it with a speech or a complaint because you don’t like the outcome. And the claim that the United States is the only country with birthright citizenship is just wrong. Plenty of countries across the Americas have the same principle. This isn’t some weird American loophole, it’s a well established legal standard. The idea that people are “buying” citizenship through birthright is also nonsense. A child born here is a citizen, the parents are not. There is no transaction, no marketplace, no shortcut to citizenship for the parents. And the irony here is incredible, because the only person actually talking about selling access to the United States is you. You’ve floated multimillion dollar “pay to play” immigration ideas, your so called $5 million card. That’s the closest thing to selling citizenship in this entire conversation, and it’s coming from you, not from the Constitution. Then you throw in tariffs and attack the courts like that somehow ties together. It doesn’t. Courts enforcing the Constitution aren’t the problem. The problem is you don’t like being told you can’t ignore it. This isn’t some deep policy argument. It’s you taking a real piece of history and twisting it into something it was never meant to be.

@MattWalshBlog Only the top 1% is rich. The rest of the country is actually quite poor and has to make to from paycheck to paycheck deciding on what bills to pay or not pay and if they can even afford food to eat.

America is the richest, most powerful, and most generous country in the world. We are so superior to everyone else, and so charitable and kind and helpful, that unfortunately many of the lesser countries on the globe have become welfare queens who expect us to coddle, care for, fund, fight for and protect them. We are the parents who have taken good care of our children, but have not forced them to contribute enough, or earn their own keep, and now they are spoiled, ungrateful, and helpless. It’s time to cut the umbilical cord and force the rest of the countries to stand on their own two feet. We can’t do everything for everyone.
