We thought Jerry would be home by now after his heart valve replacement surgery but sadly he has suffered 2 small strokes, the first one just 3 days after surgery. He was doing so well but he suffered another stroke yesterday. I'm reaching out to the aviation community to help us get him through this. We need our Jerry back. Well I wasn’t expecting that? Over two thousand messages from fantastic people all around the world, everyone has been amazing. But the most amazing people have been the ICU & Recovery nurses and Doctors. I cannot thank everyone enough including my immediate family, friends, Members and Subscribers. I should be back at base camp in the next three to five days and slowly but surely I’ll be getting back in the seat. Thanks everyone 🙏🏻❤️ Just gonna do the right thing: listen to the advise of the specialists, take my time and ease myself back-in. Michael Gove has finally admitted what Brexit really was. A lie that worked and was therefore justified👇 In 2026, Gove is still insisting the £350m Brexit bus slogan was “literally the truth”, even after years of fact-checking, economic evidence and public harm. He now says it doesn’t matter that the UK never paid £350m a week to the EU, or that the money was never “taken back”. Why? Because belief mattered more than accuracy. That is an extraordinary admission. Gove actually compares belief in the Brexit claim to religious faith, saying you can recite facts forever, but you’ll never convince the other side. Read that again. A former Cabinet minister is saying: • facts don’t matter • truth is subjective • emotional mobilisation beats evidence That’s propaganda. And here’s the part they still don’t want you to notice: Yes, NHS spending went up but from a smaller economy. Brexit amputated future growth. UK GDP per head is 6–8% lower than it would have been. Investment is down. Productivity is down. Trade is weaker. Spending more money after you’ve damaged the economy isn’t a “dividend”. It’s damage control. The £350m bus didn’t “fund the NHS”. It funded a political project that: • shrank the economy • hollowed out public services • stripped rights and protections • and now locks the UK into US-led deregulation And Gove knows it. That’s why he’s no longer arguing the numbers. He’s arguing belief. Brexit didn’t survive because it was true. IT’S JUST SO BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS! Britain is just a bad bet when it comes to investment. Why? Well, who the hell would want to invest in a country which deliberately left the most successful market in world history? Who would want to invest in a country whose government thinks that a trade deal with Trump’s America is going to be more beneficial than rejoining the EU single market? Who would want to invest in a country that embraces neoliberal economics, and locks itself into perpetual austerity? Who would want to invest in a country that has become an industrial wasteland, that has deliberately destroyed its industrial base and hadn’t had a meaningful industrial policy for decades? Who would want to invest in a country with such a high levels of poverty and deprivation, a country where successive governments have ignored an inexorable rise in inequality and, out of choice, done nothing to halt it? Who would want to invest in a country with a political system that delivers governments that don’t represent majority opinion, a country that has been badly governed for decades by an abysmal, unimpressive and self-serving political class? The reality is that Brexit broke Britain. Until it’s undone, investment will be elusive as will growth. The politics that delivered Brexit and now refuses to undo it, is broken too. The duopoly that has governed Britain since the end of the war is dead. What comes next is uncertain. The disaster that is British politics could continue, and could get worse, but we are in a place which rarely occurs - politics has totally failed. Its big guns have been spiked. People need new political homes. What we have now is a unique opportunity for real change to happen, We have to make it happen. New political parties, new talent, new ideas, a new beginning. All we have to do is to recognise where we are, recognise the opportunity and embrace it. Let’s do it!
