@someone28910311 all of the main plot can be accomplished without him and just focus on the main girls. just because u explain what the theme is with little doesn't automatically mean it's a defense for anything because they dont meaningfully contribute in the story in any major way anyways

Donald and Goofy have far more screen time than Riku overall in the series, yet Riku is clearly more important narratively. Screen time does not always equal character importance, and the same goes for Kairi by the way
