This strategic asset has woke up the greed of many "devils" over past centuries. The history of repeated aggressions by European and American foreigners, bringing insecurity, loss, and numerous threats to the countries of the region—is only a glimpse of the sinister plots of the world’s "arrogant powers" against the inhabitants of the Persian Gulf region. The most recent example of this was the "saber-rattling" of the Great Satan (the US).
