There’s a video that always plays in the back of my mind and brings tears to my eyes. Sudanese women gathering and donating all their gold as if their lives depended on it for Gaza. They stood up for the oppressed, yet we didn’t do anything for them. We should do better for them.

these cookies came out amazing! *weighing each cookie at 90g and freezing ready for Eid the recipe i used, with a recommendation for the recipe from @Rabz_16 (check out her bakes and support her business!) This recipe got me about 7 cookies Thick NYC style cookies 115g COLD! Salted butter cubed. (Cube it small) 120g brown sugar 70g granulated (white) sugar 1 large egg (ROOM TEMP) 8g vanilla extract (measure with your heart) 200g plain flour 2.5g baking SODA 12g cornstarch (Corn flour) 120–180g of chocolate chips (adjust to your liking – replace with a chocolate flavour of your choice if you want (roll, snickers, whatever you want) I’d avoid buenos METHOD 1.Cream COLD butter and sugars together until creamy but still slightly thick (colour will become slightly pale). 2.Add egg and vanilla, mix until fully combined. 3.In another bowl combine flour, baking soda and corn flour. (Mix well) then add your chocolates 4.FOLD in dry ingredients into the dough stop as soon as the flour disappears (dont overmix it creates gluten) 5.Roll 90g of dough into a dome and dimple it slightly with your finger. 6.freeze dough for at least 4h (best if chilled overnight). 7.Bake at 180 for 14 minutes until edges are set but centre is soft. And allow to set for 5–7 minutes out of the oven before eating.
